If The Dodgers finish last but Matt Kemp reaches the 40/40 Club would he still win N.L. MVP?

A big part of the MVP is the middle letter, the value. That is why you see many MVPs on contending teams. According to some people, without the MVP, the team would not be contending. Where would a last-place team be without their best player? Still in last place. How much value do they really have? 40-40 is a great feat, but I can almost guarantee that someone on a contending team will either have a player that will carry his team in september or have a solid season that will outweigh Kemp for the MVP. Unlike the Cy Young, which is strictly for the best pitcher, the MVP has to take into consideration value of the team as well.
